Mercenza
Global trade opportunities tested for commercial feasibility, with evidence, before any buyer is contacted.
01The problem
Trade development often chases leads rather than deals: a market picked because it is large, a buyer who is only a name on a list, and outreach before anyone has checked whether the product can reach that market at a workable margin. Mercenza’s view is that access, regulation, tariff, freight and the price floor must be understood before the first conversation, not after it.
02The system
Private trade intelligence, from product and market to a viable deal.
Mercenza is a private trade intelligence and commercial operations system. It evaluates product, origin, destination, regulation, tariff, freight, landed cost and margin as one commercial equation, then adds market signals, buyer evidence and deal economics. An intelligence engine handles normalisation, rules and commercial modelling in a deterministic, testable way. Opportunities move along a governed path from qualification to engagement to close, and each step is a separate, recorded decision.
03Why it matters
Market, trade access, logistics, buyer evidence and economics are checked before any outreach, so effort goes only where a deal can work.
Built for
- Companies preparing to export
- Export and commercial sales teams
- Deal owners and commercial approvers
- Teams that need a private trade system
04What it does
- 01
Feasibility before outreach
Product, origin, destination, regulation, tariff, freight, landed cost and margin are evaluated together before any buyer is approached.
- 02
Market intelligence
Markets are compared on commercial signals such as demand, tariff position, logistics, competition and margin, not on theoretical demand.
- 03
Buyers backed by evidence
Buyers are qualified on buying behaviour, trade history and decision drivers. A contact is not a decision maker until the evidence says so.
- 04
Deal economics
Landed cost, price floor and margin are modelled before the first conversation, so the margin can be protected from the start.

06How it works
- 01
Qualify the opportunity
A market signal is identified and then validated for commercial feasibility.
- 02
Authorise outreach
A person decides separately whether outreach may start. Clearing feasibility is required first, but grants no permission.
- 03
Engage the buyer
Governed outreach, the buyer’s reply and qualification until the fit is confirmed.
- 04
Close the deal
A proposal and quote, negotiation of commercial terms, then a final internal review at the deal desk.
07What makes it different
Mercenza looks for viable deals, not leads. Feasibility comes before outreach, and authorising outreach is a separate human decision. Its approach is engine-first, AI-assisted and human-controlled: rules and data do the modelling, AI may assist where configured but never decides, and tariffs, price floors, compliance and binding decisions stay with accountable people.
08Trust and governance
Every material claim carries its source, date and truth status, and contradictions are flagged rather than hidden. No message leaves Mercenza without a named person’s approval. Deployment is single-tenant by design, with role-based permissions, allowlisted sign-in and recorded decisions. Mercenza does not buy or sell goods, commit capital or issue binding quotes.
09In the portfolio
Across borders
Mercenza belongs to the across-borders orbit of the portfolio, beside the work on capital markets and mobility. It brings the shared method to global trade: qualify the problem first, let evidence carry its source, and keep a named person accountable for each decision.
